Warrendale, PA-January 27, 2012. Guardian Protection Services is pleased to announce the launch of its newly redesigned website, www.guardianprotection.com. The site officially went live in mid-January. The new look and feel of the website provides customers with more consistent messaging and branding, better navigation and more interactive features. The site had not been significantly revamped since 1997, when it initially launched.
"We have enjoyed considerable expansion, geographically and in terms of products and services, since the last major overhaul of Guardian's website" explains Mary Lynn Moriarity, Vice President of Marketing for Guardian. "Potential customers will find it much easier to identify themselves within the new site and to drill-down quickly to find the information they need. Guardian President, Joe Colosimo added, "It was important that our message reflect the advancements in home security, such as interactive services and environmental home control. We wanted to emphasize the new technology that is now readily available to the consumer through a Guardian security system, and I think we have accomplished that goal."
The design of the new website has been a year-long collaborative effort among Guardian's own business stakeholders and subject matter experts, and external marketing firms in Cincinnati, Ohio and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As a lead-generating tool for the company, the website not only targets existing and potential customers for home or business security, but also the recruitment of entrepreneurs for its authorized dealer program.
A major feature in the new website is the "Customer Care" section, which provides for a personalized, password-protected log-in and the serving of customized data, such as billing history, certificate of ownership for insurers, and alarm data. "Today's customers expect information easily and instantly from their service providers", said Mike Overby, Vice President of Subscriber Services, adding that Guardian's low attrition rates already speak to the quality level of care the company offers. He added, "With this type of information accessible through the website, we have enhanced the service experience." Guardian developed the website on a platform capable of delivering additional customer care services in the future through its website.
Eric Aulbach, Chief Information Officer for Guardian's parent firm, The Armstrong Group of Companies, believes that although the website has changed, Guardian's purpose has not. "Our goal has always been to service existing customers and to attract and retain new ones. The technology being utilized is different, but the objective remains the same," he says.
As the launch of the newly improved website carries on, Guardian will look for opportunities to listen to user opinion about the site's functionality. "Customers can contact us through the 'Comments' section, or reach us by phone at the numbers listed on each corresponding web page," says Karen Cooper, Web Marketing Manager. "In addition, customers can send us their own stories about their Guardian experience, sign up for email updates, consult our "FAQ" section and find us on Facebook to share their thoughts with us."
