Geo-Service Now Available for MyGuardianHome Customers!
Wednesday, June 13, 2012 by Cassandra H.
If you are a MyGuardianHome customer, you can now set up a “geofence” around your home through your online account, and create a rule to receive an arming reminder if your smartphone leaves the geofence without your Guardian security system being armed.
For instance, if you leave for work one morning and forget to arm your system, as soon as you leave your “Home geofence”, an arming reminder will be delivered to your smartphone so you can quickly take action and protect your home. Through this interactive app, you can enjoy an additional level of assurance through the MyGuardianHome feature of your interactive security system.
Better yet, this new functionality is included at no additional cost for all MyGuardianHome accounts.
Access this great new feature – it’s as easy as 1-2-3:
- Enable Geo-Services on one or more phones. Log into the latest version of the Guardian app from an iPhone or Android device and enable Geo-Services, found under the Settings menu within the app.
- View and manage geofences online. Once enabling Geo-Services on your iPhone or Android device, you can set up and manage your Geo-Fences, Geo-Devices, and Geo-Features. Log into www.MyGuardianHome.com. Go to Mobile > Geo-Services. From this screen you can edit, add and delete geo-fences. With Geo-Services enabled, a “Home” geofence will be created by default around your Guardian security system installation address.
- Set up geo-enabled rules or notifications. The Geo-Services page on the MyGuardianHome website links to the Geo-enabled Arming Reminders feature.
