Home Security

Life Safety

Security that simplifies your life.

Today, automated home security means a lot more than locks and sirens. Equipping your new home with a Guardian system gives you wide-ranging protection against burglary, fire, medical emergency and carbon monoxide. And with the option to add Digital Cellular Communication, you can rest assured knowing your home is outfitted with the most reliable, high-tech emergency communication system available.

With Digital Cellular Communication, your home is guarded even if the power goes out or your landline is compromised. In fact, you don't need a landline at all to ensure connection to Guardian's 24/7 monitoring center.

Burglary Protection

Houses with home security monitoring services are 3 times less likely to be burglarized.¹ Guardian can outfit your home with an array of innovative security options - everything from the essentials like door contacts and yard signs to the high tech, including sensors that send you tamper alerts, motion detectors and glass break detectors.

Having a Guardian home security system can help lower your homeowners insurance up to 20% - and it's the only form of insurance that can prevent a burglary from occuring at all.

The deterrent power of a Guardian system is especially important when you consider these statistics:

  • A household burglary occurs every 14.3 seconds (over 6,000 burglaries a day!) in the U.S.²
  • More than 80% of all attempted burglaries are completed successfully³
  • 81% of intruders entered on the first floor⁴
  • 35% of intruders entered through the front door⁴
  • Almost 40% of burglaries happen at night, while most people are sleeping⁵

Fire Protection

Your home already includes smoke detectors from your builder. So what is different about Guardian's fire protection system? Our smoke and heat communicators are always monitored, whether your system is armed or not. Monitored fire detection systems allow firefighters to be dispatched, even if you're away from home or sound asleep.

Most fire-related deaths occur between the hours of 11 p.m. and 7 a.m., when the majority of people are asleep. Of all fire-related deaths, 85% occur in home fires.¹ And if no one is at home or a person is trapped and can't get to the phone, a non-monitored smoke alarm will be of little use.

Our monitored fire prevention equipment will give you better protection and better peace of mind - and our installation specialists will design a system that's right for your home. Also remember that, unlike many other companies, Guardian never charges extra for fire protection monitoring.

Medical Emergency

In an emergency, monitoring centers yield a faster response than simply calling 911 on your own.¹ Our 24/7 monitoring gives you peace of mind to cover any manner of emergency - especially useful for households with young children or elderly family members.

The value of installing a 24/7 emergency alert system is readily apparent when you consider just a few medical emergency statistics:

  • A disabling injury occurs every second¹
  • For every minute that goes by during a cardiac arrest, chances of survival decrease by 7% to 10%²
  • 3.4 million children require emergency treatment each year for injuries sustained in the home³
  • Falls are the leading cause of home injury death in persons over 65¹

Carbon Monoxide Detectors

Carbon monoxide detection is an invaluable addition to any emergency alert system.

Carbon monoxide is odorless, colorless and virtually impossible to detect without advanced technology, leading many to call it "the silent killer." Common sources of carbon monoxide include open flames, space heaters, water heaters, blocked chimneys and car exhaust.

To protect against this threat, our carbon monoxide detectors sound a warning tone inside your home to alert you to its presence. A signal is then automatically sent to Guardian's 24-hour monitoring center to dispatch emergency personnel.

Guardian offers four life safety packages so you can choose a system that meets your needs.

Remote Access Security

Remote home security systems built with modern technology.

In today's world, you can use your cell phone or computer to do everything from shopping to banking. With Guardian, you can also use them to arm or disarm your security system - from anywhere.

So the next time you need to be in two places at once, you can let in the carpet guys or your dog sitter without compromising your home's security. Remote home security also comes in handy when you leave for vacation and can't remember if you hit the right button.

Be sure to ask your Guardian Home Technologies Specialist about additional options for using a smart phone or computer to remotely interact with your security system.
