GUARDIAN EXPANDS ITS SALES AND INSTALLATION
COVERAGE TO ILLINOIS AND WISCONSIN

Effective November 17, 2005, Guardian Protection Services, Inc. headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, executed a purchase transaction with Certified Security of Chicago, Illinois that effectively expands Guardian’s geographic footprint to include the Chicago, Illinois; Rockford, Illinois; and Sheboygan, Wisconsin markets. The integration of Certified Security with Guardian Protection Services makes this transaction an unprecedented opportunity for customers to benefit from the strengths of both firms, as each firm is the predominant security provider in its respective marketplace. Guardian will leverage the expertise of both firms to continue expansion into the commercial, industrial, new construction and residential sectors of its new market territory in the Chicagoland and surrounding market area. Julius Rutili, founder and CEO of Certified Security, along with Certified Security employees, will remain as integral members of the new Guardian / Certified integrated firm. Guardian now serves a customer base of 165,000 throughout all of its markets. In 2005 Guardian Protection Services has been ranked 10th in annual revenue among the top 100 security companies (SDM magazine, May 2005) and 3rd among the top 30 structured wiring dealers (CEPro magazine, October 2005).
